Airports Using LTE Networks for Communications

Airports Using LTE Networks for Communications

According to the data of Kampichler, Eier, Liberal, airport managers are facing industry growth that is out of step with their way of doing business. In this regard, many of them are considering more technological methods of airport communications between employees to speed up processes and find an opportunity to compare different teams with different support. Researchers agree that LTE is the future of airport communication, as this technology is universal and allows switching between devices quickly and much cheaper than radio communication.

At TASSTA, we are developing solutions for LTE as well and plan to improve in favor of faster airport communications regardless of mission conditions.

Enhancing PTT Services for Emergency Response

In a large study by Chen and Ramakrishnan, the authors explore the topic of communication mechanisms in critical situations, when every second of delay can lead to the discord of the entire system and operation. According to them, most missions critically suffer because push-to-talk systems aren’t designed to transfer messages conveniently, as the interlocutors have to wait for each other all the time. In this regard, the researchers argue that mission-critical devices should be equipped with additional features so that the interlocutors can transmit more information in a short time.

At TASSTA, we share this opinion, which is why we add the ability to send photos, videos, texts, and other formats that speed up communication between colleagues and build team processes to our ecosystem.

May TASSTA Session on Updates

Traditionally, TASSTA May ended with Kaveh and his short story about the great achievements that have been created within our products.

First of all, we are proud to announce that on the way to create new solutions, we maintain our reputation and have succesfully passed plugtests for the MCX project as we did for our environment since 2017.

In addition, on the development side, we have added full support for French and Chinese, as well as implemented the TASSTA environment to Hytera PDC680, Telox M6, and other newest devices.

When it comes to features, we are especially proud of indoor localization. This means you can see where your colleagues are up to the room. Be sure to try!

Charity Activity with TASSTA

For TASSTA people, a good heart means not only hard work and honest action but also efforts that make the world a better place. Last May, our team marked a charitable donation in favor of Aktion Kindertraum, located in Hannover. This outstanding German organization makes children’s dreams come true. It helps those little hearts who find this life hard due to some medical conditions or life events by fulfilling their dreams, so that they feel happier, cared about and loved. We hope that our donation that we collected from a webinar about 3GPP Mission Critical LTE right before Christmas ‘21, will be a great contribution to the wonderful present and the bright future of the children.

TASSTA shares the values of all organizations that care about our community and try to provide all possible assistance to those in need. As a team, we are always happy to support such alliances and also to allow our partners to join donations. We thank all the participants of the charity event and promise not to disregard good deeds on our way!

March Mission Critical Industry News

Tactical Bubble: Researchers Found Solution for Territories Where Mobile Communication Is Impossible

Missions Critical are carried out not only in cities but also in remote areas of the world where it is difficult to communicate with government agencies and city managers. So that the teams in such regions do not lose touch and could always contact colleagues from large cities, the researchers developed a system of tactical bubbles.

Heikkilä et al. have created a model that will allow teams working with push-to-talk systems in remote areas communicate with their colleagues by cellular communication using specially built communication towers. Such towers create a bubble over the entire area and allow people to communicate not only with each other, but also with people who are in other cities and countries.

At TASSTA, we are constantly following the development of technology. This theoretical experiment once again proved that traditional radio communication is no longer convenient even for solutions in remote regions, as it does not provide the opportunities that T.Flex, T.Bridge, and T.Recorder give users.

TASSTA March Update

On March 24, Kaveh provided information on the latest updates and features that have appeared in TASSTA products.

Every month we share innovations that TASSTA developers create to empower users. However, March has been special for us for two main reasons.

First of all, our programs have become safer and more convenient in terms of iOS. Perhaps, our users will not notice it at first glance but now we guarantee new levels of stability for them, because the best software is the one with which there is no need to understand the nuances of development. Our professionals continue to move towards the development of the safest methods and tools.

Secondly, with the help of TASSTA our users can call up in group chats with video communication now. Up to 16 people can simultaneously share their video in real time and discuss the most urgent issues with the whole team.

PTT System Never Stops

The researchers were able to develop a voice data transmission system for free. This technology opens up new opportunities for the further development of secure networks to use in critical situations.

Alexander Diaz Maldonado from Peruvian University of Applied Sciences showed how it is possible to send voice information using a mobile phone, a PC, and three interconnected systems. The technology made it possible to use the resources available to everyone in order to subsequently send messages of support to face COVID-19.

This case proves that push-to-talk systems are evolving by leaps and bounds. Increasingly cheaper technology will allow more people to apply the upgraded solution. At TASSTA we are catching these trends and making them safer for our users.

PTT App Saves Lives

A study on the PTT communication in a hospital has shown that it can reduce false alerts and improve the effectiveness of staff.

Kentab et al. conducted a cross-sectional study on how the use of push-to-talk applications affects the hospital workers and their efficiency. To make an objective assessment, they interviewed employees of all levels on this topic and used a five-point Likert scale.

According to the results, it became known that 90.4% of participants received a notification or message through the application at least once a day. At the same time, they estimated the number of annoying or unnecessary alerts as 12.5% -21.0%. In the case of traditional public address systems, this level is much higher, which once again shows the importance of the right communication tool in every organization.

At TASSTA, we value such research as it helps us adapt the interface and product features not just for idea but taking into account the needs of users.
