Tactical Bubble: Researchers Found Solution for Territories Where Mobile Communication Is Impossible
Missions Critical are carried out not only in cities but also in remote areas of the world where it is difficult to communicate with government agencies and city managers. So that the teams in such regions do not lose touch and could always contact colleagues from large cities, the researchers developed a system of tactical bubbles.
Heikkilä et al. have created a model that will allow teams working with push-to-talk systems in remote areas communicate with their colleagues by cellular communication using specially built communication towers. Such towers create a bubble over the entire area and allow people to communicate not only with each other, but also with people who are in other cities and countries.
At TASSTA, we are constantly following the development of technology. This theoretical experiment once again proved that traditional radio communication is no longer convenient even for solutions in remote regions, as it does not provide the opportunities that T.Flex, T.Bridge, and T.Recorder give users.

PTT System Never Stops
The researchers were able to develop a voice data transmission system for free.This technology opens up new opportunities for the further development of secure networks to use in critical situations.
Alexander Diaz Maldonado from Peruvian University of Applied Sciences showed how it is possible to send voice information using a mobile phone, a PC, and three interconnected systems. The technology made it possible to use the resources available to everyone in order to subsequently send messages of support to face COVID-19.
This case proves that push-to-talk systems are evolving by leaps and bounds. Increasingly cheaper technology will allow more people to apply the upgraded solution. At TASSTA we are catching these trends and making them safer for our users.

PTT App Saves Lives
A study on the PTT communication in a hospital has shown that it can reduce false alerts and improve the effectiveness of staff.
Kentab et al. conducted a cross-sectional study on how the use of push-to-talk applications affects the hospital workers and their efficiency. To make an objective assessment, they interviewed employees of all levels on this topic and used a five-point Likert scale.
According to the results, it became known that 90.4% of participants received a notification or message through the application at least once a day. At the same time, they estimated the number of annoying or unnecessary alerts as 12.5% -21.0%. In the case of traditional public address systems, this level is much higher, which once again shows the importance of the right communication tool in every organization.

Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain cycle race took place across a 183.9km course from Sherford to Exeter on Monday 6th of September
PAS Sound & Communications of Exeter hired Entel DN495 E-PoC radios to Devon County Council as a simple and cost effective solution to the council’s communications requirements during the event.
DN495 radios using Tassta’s T.Flex PoC app, are extremely robust and IP68 2-meters for 4-hours submersible making them ideal for use even in the most demanding conditions. Major benefits include the ability to be deployed instantly, almost anywhere, and without the need to install any infrastructure. DN495 radios also provide a virtually unlimited range and number of crystal clear, interference free, channels with exceptionally loud audio. DN495 is extremely cost effective and suitable for a system of any size from just two to several thousand users.

Devon County Council once again this summer hosted a stage of the Tour of Britain cycle race on Monday 6th September. As has been experienced in the past the event requires the coordination of 115miles of rolling road closure in addition to start and finish venue locations. Previously the event organisers have used independent radio communication networks for both the start and finish events and then mobile telephone calls to communicate with the race whilst along the route.
This year through early recommendation from Entel’s local distributor, PAS Sound & Communications ltd – it was identified that the Entel DN495 may provide a revolutionary step forward in the events communications. This digital handset would provide the platform for event control (based at the finish event) to be able to communicate with all areas of the event throughout its duration.

First Responders Can Now Access TASSTA’s T.Flex via the FirstNet App Catalog
Atlanta, US – June 30, 2021 – Following a rigorous review process, TASSTA’s T.Flex for Android devices is now FirstNet® Certified™ and accessible via the FirstNet App Catalog.
TASSTA’s T.Flex app runs on any IP broadband network (2G/3G/4G/wi-fi) and is powered by the Android operating system. TASSTA’s T.Flex app runs on any IP broadband network (2G/3G/4G/wi-fi) and is powered by the Android operating system. The solution includes Push-to-Talk voice communications and recording capabilities and also integrates added value services such as GPS tracking and Indoor Localization, task management, Push-to-Video, a certified (BGR 139) emergency and Lone Worker Protection (LWP) system, and alarm functions that provide support in emergencies.
FirstNet – America’s public safety communications platform – features the first-ever App Catalog geared to first responders, featuring more than 165 apps relevant to public safety’s mission. This gives FirstNet subscribers a dedicated location to find meaningful new solutions that have been specifically reviewed for use with FirstNet services.

Achieving a FirstNet Certified™ designation means TASSTA’s T.Flex is a heavily vetted and trusted solution for public safety, meeting FirstNet app requirements. Before any mobile solution can be added to the FirstNet App Catalog, it must pass stringent third-party tests for security, relevancy, data privacy and availability, as well as review by the App Review board which includes the FirstNet Authority. As a FirstNet Certified™ app, TASSTA’s T.Flex has been confirmed to meet those requirements, as well as higher requirements for mobility, scalability and resiliency.
Additionally, FirstNet subscribers will also be able to take advantage of the TASSTA’s T.Flex solution while benefitting from the enhanced security provided by the FirstNet network core, which is the only physically separate network core dedicated entirely to public safety in America.
